This year double ECHO prize winner, LOONA celebrates her 10 year anniversary by coming under contract with Sony BMG/Ariola.
Together with her long time musical partner DJ Sammy 1998 saw her reach the coveted number one spot in Germany for the first time with the
double Platinum hit "Bailando".
They became the first winners of the ECHO catergory of "Best Dance Single".
Not content with this success, the follow up single "Hijo de la Luna" sold an incredible 1.5 million copies to become her second successive number one
whilst becoming the most successful single recorded in Spanish ever in the German charts.
Subsequently they received their second ECHO Best Dance Single
award with "Mamboleo".
A stream of unforgettable hits for LOONA follwed with the release of "Latino Lover", "Baila Mi Ritmo", "Viva el Amor" and "Rhythm of the Night".
Throughout America, Australia, Asia, South Africa and Europe over 10 million
recordings were sold.
The 2002 hit "Boys of Summer" reached number the number 1 chart position
in England, South Africa and Australia. LOONA also achieved many other top ten positions throughout the World.
The first release under the Sony/BMG/Ariola label will be "Por la Noche"
which is due for release in July 2008.
The song has been written and produced by the successful Marquess team who delivered the 2007 summer hit "Vayamos Companeros".
"Por la Noche" is the hottest favourite for the THE summer hit of 2008!
This summer will also see the release of a Greatest Hits album by LOONA and will contain some new songs with hit potential.
